Cyptotrama chrysopeplum (Berk. & Curt.) Singer Cap 0.5-2cm across, convex to flat, with a lined to furrowed margin; lemon yellow to golden; dry, powdery to pitted. Gills adnate to decurrent, distant, broad; whitish to yellowish. Stem 10-50 x 1-3mm, solid, tough; lemon yellow or paler; scaly with cottony blisters. Spores broadly ovoid to ellipsoid, smooth, 8-12x6-7.5ì. Deposit white. Habitat scattered on twigs, logs, and sticks of hardwoods. Common. Found in eastern North America, west to the Great Lakes and Texas. Season May-October (May-November in Texas). Edibility not known.
